PACCA-2: Definitions, Roles, Policy Authority

This policy defines all terms used throughout the ProACT Academy Policy Library.

1. Definitions
   a. Student: Any individual enrolled in a course.
   b. Instructor: A certified ARC Instructor approved by ProACT Academy.
   c. Instructor Trainer (IT): An ARC‑authorized instructor trainer overseeing instructor‑level courses.
   d. Instructor Candidate (IC): A trainee enrolled in an instructor‑level course.
   e. Training Provider: ProACT Critical Care Academy, L.L.C., operating as ProACT Academy.
   f. The Authority: The ProACT Academy Training and Education Authority overseeing operations.
   g. Evaluation: A formal skills assessment required for certification.
   h. Successful: Meeting all ARC‑required criteria.
   i. Unsuccessful: Not meeting one or more required criteria.
   j. Not Evaluated: No evaluation was performed (lateness, absence, early departure, or no‑show).

2. Role Authority
   a. The Authority holds final decision‑making power on:
      • Instructor approval and removal
      • Certification validity
      • Evaluation disputes
      • Reschedule and refund exceptions
   b. Instructors must comply with:
      • All ARC Instructor Agreements
      • All ProACT Academy policies
      • All legal and ethical standards

3. Delegation of Policy Enforcement
   a. The Authority may designate Lead Instructors or operational managers to enforce policies or perform quality audits.
