Cancelation and Refunds

Cancelation and Refunds

Info
Cancelation and refund policies differ based on the specific course category as outlined below. For questions regarding the cancelation or refund policies, please submit a case or send us an email at support@proactacademy.com.
Basic-level Classes (e.g., First Aid/CPR/AED, Skills Sessions, Babysitter's Training, BLS, ALS, etc.)
  1. Cancellation Policy:

    1. More than 2 weeks before the class session: Students may cancel without any penalty.
    2. Between 2 weeks and 48 hours before the class session: A cancellation fee of 50% of the session price will be charged.
    3. Less than 48 hours before the class session or no-show: The full session price will be charged.
  2. Rescheduling Policy:

    1. Up to 48 hours before the class session: Students may reschedule to another class session without penalty. Note that rescheduling may not be possible for all classes.
      1. Rescheduling may not be possible if it compromises the ability to conduct the class due to low enrollment.
      2. ProACT Academy reserves the right to deny reschedule requests on this basis.
    2. Less than 48 hours before the class session: Rescheduling requests will be subject to the same conditions as cancellations, with the full session price being charged if the student does not show up or cancels within this period. Rescheduling is not possible within this 48 hour window.
  3. No-Show Policy:

    1. Any student who does not attend an enrolled class without prior notice or a request for change or cancellation is not entitled to a refund, credit, voucher, or transfer to another class.
    2. Under no circumstances will a refund, change, or voucher be granted if there is no notice of absence before the class.
    3. Notice of 48 hours or more must be given to be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. Without such notice, the funds are forfeited, and the student must re-enroll in a new class.
Instructor-level Classes
Instructor-level classes may not be rescheduled or canceled for any reason. In the event of a cancellation, all tuition fees will be forfeited - no exceptions will be made to this policy. The American Red Cross requires that instructor-level classes have a minimum number of students to meet the course objectives. As a result, allowing instructor candidates to reschedule or cancel their enrollment would compromise the ability to conduct the course. Concurrently, in the event, an instructor-level class does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements, you will be given the option to reschedule to the next class, receive a credit, or receive a refund to the original form of payment.
Online Classes
All Online Only Courses are “All Sales Final”. This means that there is no refund and no reschedules for any Online Only courses. The purchaser agrees upon checkout that no refund will be provided, and no reschedules will be granted.
Medical-related Withdrawl
Medical withdrawals may be granted to students who experience a serious or unexpected physical or mental health condition, a serious or unexpected physical or mental health condition of an immediate family member who requires student care, or a death of an immediate family member that completely precludes a student from attending class and completing other academically-related activity.

Info
This medical withdrawal process is used after the 100% refund period of 15 days prior to the class start.

If a medical withdrawal is approved, tuition will be refunded based on the following schedules:
